Summer Special at Jeweled Elegance

It's summer special time! We have been hard at work developing a new line of paper jewelry. It started off small (as all things do) with a custom earring order. The earrings were to be manufactured from and showcase Japanese Fan paper brought back from Yokohama, Japan. The fan paper had delightful rural village scenes and the customer generously donated all the extra paper to Jeweled Elegance so ..... we made a whole series of one of a kind earrings with this fun paper. Inspired, we created an entire of collection of Japanese paper earrings. There are four different papers used:

Spring: Pink/red background. Flowers and hills with a lovely scattering of gold foil.
Summer: Light/dark blue summer sky background. Summer grasses and foliage.
Autumn: Orange/red background. Flowers with purple and white decorative patterns.
Winter: Black background. Foilage with midnight blue and red geometric patterns.

Each pair of these earrings is unique and no two will have the same pattern. We are pleased to offer a "sneak peek" at this new collection as our summer special! Customers who spend $100 or more will receive a FREE pair of these awesome new earrings!! We will select a lovely pair for you and include them with your order. As this is a new collection, we'd love to hear your comments and feedback on them!

Indie Spotlight: Valhalla Soap Company

Recently I had the pleasure of testing an awesome product, a Cafe au Lait Gourmet Coffee Body Polish called "Cafe Vienna". The smell of this is divine, and reminded me of sipping Kona coffee and eating croissants on a lanai on a cool Hawaiian morning. I swear you could actually smell fresh milk and newly ground coffee, and it left my skin buttery soft and smooth. Thanks to Donna at the Valhalla Soap Company for the wonderful scrub! Her website is filled with other body treats yummy enough to eat, so if you get a chance, take a look!

"Rare Earth" Terbium Glass

We are please to offer beautiful new "Rare Earth" Terbium Glass briolette jewelry. The stunning glass faceted briolettes are made with the rare earth element terbium. When terbium is added to the glass, it adds exceptional brilliance and creates a rich product similar to fully leaded crystal.

Our new glass jewels include a brilliant red, an emerald green and an onyx black. They seem to glow from within and their large size suggest crown jewels. Look for some new y necklaces and a Tudor style ruby and pearl necklace made with these brilliant new teardrop briolettes. They will be available for purchase at our boutique in just a few days.

Dream Wedding Dresses

I ran across this magazine at Barnes and Noble. This issue has some of the most gorgeous period style wedding gowns. Complete eye candy. I spent a good afternoon leafing through the pages and visiting the accompanying web sites. The jewelry maker in me was very inspired by the sumptuous fabrics, hand sewn details and historical cuts. Maid Marion era gowns, Romeo and Juliet style gowns, Elizabethan gowns ......... makes me wish I was planning a medieval or renaissance style wedding. Most of them were shown in white, but if it was custom made in blue or red, I'm sure I could find some occasion to wear one of these gowns. If you are planning a wedding and like romantic dresses, definitely take a look at this issue. And if you need custom jewelry to match, I would be more than happy to do some sketches. :)
