Yes, it's time to show my inner crochet geek :) What says "crochet is making a huge comeback" better than a granny square dress appearing on the red carpet? A one-shouldered, full sleeved, ruffle-ornamented couture crochet dress. Cate Blanchett would look great in anything, but I love that she picked this to wear to the opening of an event down at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI).

I know some people have pretty strong opinions on granny squares, but honestly, she wears it really well and looks great!
Cate Blanchett looks good in basically anything. I'm not sure about this dress but she does look good in it =)
ReplyDeleteThat girl has moxie but she sure looks good!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very beautiful Granny Square Crochet dress. I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I have a little something on my blog for you =)
ReplyDeleteI love granny squares! Especially when they're in all different colours like this. Thanks for the incredibly awesome and sweet message you left on my blog last week. =) It totally made my day. I'm glad you like the maple mustard glazed veggies. They're a favourite for us too. We need to try it with different vegetables!
ReplyDeletethat is truly beautiful! no more rosanne bar couch afgan in my mind when I think of granny squares!
ReplyDeleteShe looked cute...but she could wear anything I think.
ReplyDeleteWow that is amazing. I wonder who made it...could she have? (the dam in AZ, it was on Indian land, so I don't know if you can go inside...that would be a great post!)
ReplyDeleteWell yes I agree it looks just fine on her...but Red Carpet...no...
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing this geeky pic.
