Getting Ready for a Holiday Show

I'm off to the Deepwood Holiday Show in Salem this weekend and my studio has been a flurry of activity - beads, wire, glitter and vintage papers flying everywhere. Everything needs to be packed up by tomorrow night. Better get these necklaces finished in a hurry!I call these the Maid Marian girls. Wait, that last one's not a girl, it's an egg! It's an Inspiration Egg!
More Inspiration Eggs! One of four lovely Tropical Butterfly earrings. I love how the image is bisected, one half on each earring.

Wish me luck! This show is 45 miles away from my home and I need to drive there and back again each day in rainy, stormy weather, so I'm a bit concerned about the commute but I think it will be a lot of fun!

While shopping this week for bits and bobs (and buttons!) to create holiday goodies, DH and I discovered the most marvelous Italian restaurant.Shopping is hard work, so we stopped to replenish our energy. I had a refreshing ice tea and this hearty Winter Squash and Wild Mushroom Pasta. YUM!! I couldn't remember the name of the restaurant when we got home, so thank goodness it's painted on their plates :)We also discussed the possibility of opening an etsy store for the holidays. What do you think about a potential banner: plain and classic or fancy and more baroque? (ignore that thin green border - blogger puts that around every photo)

Coming next week .. loads of fun and pretty at Natasha's Virtual Vintage Prom Party! Come put on a sparkly dress on Tuesday the 20th and join in the fun!
I just realized I am almost at my 100th post! only 5 more posts to go! .... ooooh, I need to start thinking of something really special!

Hi Heather! Oh the necklaces look gorgeous!! The butterfly earrings are lovely :) We love Italian food too! Well just in our humble opinion, we love the 'fancy' style Etsy banner, the second one, it looks lovely! Have funn in Salem! Jenn & Jacqui :)

I just adore what you do with these pendants and necklaces! Just as much as I loved those dictionary earrings.

The second border really says "you", don't you think?

Hi Heather,
Good luck at your show, your goodies are so beautiful!!!
I love pasta too.... had another awesome lunch today, I'll go post on the blog later.
I agree with Jenn & Jacqui, the 2nd banner. But the first is sweet too. Just the 2nd one gives us a taste of what you have and we want to see more...

OMG--those "maid marians"!!! i wear a necklace *maybe* 6 times a year...and yet...i TOTALLY want one o'those!!! (you can send some o' that pasta along, as well!)

i love both banners, but i would vote for the second...and for once not JUST b/c i am a "more is more" kind of girl. b/c while the plain border IS pretty & tempting...the pics of your work are IRRESISTABLE! i would be able to *not* click the first...i would HAVE TO click the second!!!

As always... your work is so lovely...

I vote for the simple elegant one... it spells class to me...

a suggestion might be to add maybe one photo only on either of the banners...

I wish you much success on your new venture... I say GO GIRL!!

Oh, I am praying travel blessings on you. I well remember traveling and doing shows in hail, snow, wind and rain and how awful that can be. Especially when you are tired beyond belief on the last day! Argh! I hope you do well. I like both signs, but I lean towards the simpler one. Good luck.

It looks like you've been working hard on your pretty jewelry. I think you should open an Etsy shop and use the second banner. I love it!

Beautiful things! All so lovely.

Happy belated Thanksgiving! I hope it was wonderful.

That restaurant looks and sounds divine. We just found a great place as well about an hour away, but it's absolutely worth the drive.

Finally, the second banner is my fave, and I'm glad it looks like the winner. It really gels well with the rest of your work!
