School, Art History & Dracula

Hi everyone! It's been a long, busy summer, but school has finally started up again for my little munchkins ..... they are soooo excited! With school back in session and Saturday Market (where I sell my jewelry in person) wrapping up in 2 more weeks, I'll soon have more studio time to devote to my biz and my online activities :)

Until then, I want to share with you a fun contest. If you know your art history, some of these paintings are just a blast! Worth1000.com challenged members to take an existing historical painting and add to it, filling in what was happening "off-camera". Here are some of the entries from "Beyond the Canvas: If Artists Had More Paint"

Love that last one especially. Reminds me of "Bram Stoker's Dracula", a movie memorable for its cinematic photojournalist style and ... its costumes! In fact, it even won the 1992 Oscar for Costume Design. What girl wouldn't love to wear one of its gorgeous fantasy Victorian frocks?
