With the fresh bounty of summer farms all around us, my family and I picked buckets full of fresh berries and lots of fresh lavender. I'd love to make lavender cookies and lavender iced tea this year, but this first batch was destined for potpourri. Here's a little sampler of a white/purple lavender mix. I have some rose petals drying that I'll toss in too. I love putting some of the plant leaves in my potpourri - it just gives it that special somthing. And around it are these really cool metallic glaze buttons I found this morning. The big ones are 2-3 inches across and just gorgeous!
I've also been hard at work on a new product for market. Here are the raw materials ... anybody want to guess what I'm making? I'll post the completed items next post :)
And my swap package from Tammie Moore's cupcake swap arrived. My swap partner was Tammie herself and look at all the tasty cupcake goodies she sent! Such creative, pretty and festive treats packed in a darling cupcake box. What a joy to open!

Oohh looking forward to seeing the finished product! Also what a lovely swap package that you received. That would have been great fun to open up. =)
Sigh. Your cupcake stuff is SO beautiful! I'll know for the next swap...the more handmade goodies the better!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and for your comments. I absolutely love lavendar but have never thought of making lavender cookies. I love going to bed with the scent of it in the air. Sadly, I have nothing fresh. I've seen some interesting ways to wrap it with ribbon and to make wands and have always wanted to try making one. Have you ever done that?
Oooo..a new treat!
And the cupcake goodies. Eeek!
Lavender cookies and iced tea? That sounds very interesting, and worth a try. Your cupcake goodies are great! I hope I'm privy to the next swap. It sounds like fun.
Oh my!!!! Look at all of those amazing cupcake goodies!!!!
Lavender cookies--Mmmmm--sounds yummy. I'd love to try your recipe for it sometime.
Hugs,
Susan
What a neat package you received. I'm so glad you make your own potpourri. It is nice to know someone still does.
I have no idea what you are going to do with the little caps, unless it is make fairy or finger pin cushions!
