Germs Spark a Pretty Crochet Hook Case

With the beginning of school also comes the mingling of hundreds of children who gleefully share their germs as they play and learn.

Yes, you guessed it ..... a savage flu-like cold has happily been transmitted to one of my children and through them, the entire household. The whole family spent the weekend under blankets on the couch consuming age appropriate medicine. All I can say is .. TheraFlu is a wonderful thing when you are trying to recover from a feverish illness while simultaneously nursing all your other sick family members.Crocheted Purple Flower Embellishment with Crystal Center
Tiny crystals sparkle in a flower embellishment.

But resting on the couch lends itself very well to crocheting. This crochet hook case is a WIP no more! Yeah!! And all thanks to this nasty illness (You'll have to imagine the crochet hooks all tucked serenely inside since that pic was too blurry to salvage :) Crocheted Lavender Crochet Hook Case with Purple Flower EmbellishmentsCrochet Hook Case - Detail of Strap Attachment

The ribbon tie is stitched on - so you'll never lose the tie!

I know some of you are probably asking, "What's a WIP?" It's a knitting/crocheting acronym designating a "Work In Progress". One of many fun acronyms used by the yarn crowd.

In other news, this Saturday marks the end of the Saturday Market I'm a vendor at. As an outdoor market in a rainy winter state, it is necessary to bring the market season to a close at about this time. But, it also means that if you want any market goodies for stocking stuffers this holiday season you need to rush on down this weekend and stock up! Come by my booth and say "Hi" and do a little early holiday shopping, because some fab products won't be available again until Spring returns :)

Now.... back to the couch to rest some more with some soothing hot tea.

Your magnets are adorable!
Hope you & your family are on the mend. I've been sick on the sofa this week also. No crafts for me though, just the computer.
